Let me introduce you to the Lone Rider. He’s the desert Plato. The Aristotle of arid Australia. A resourceful hero who ponders life’s big questions as he roams the tough Australian landscape atop the ultimate off-road vehicle, with nothing but his wits and the world’s most durable engine oil by his side. The Lone Rider’s journey is an endless one, made possible by his unique ride with its huge, exposed engine and monster wheels - a vehicle that acts as the ultimate proof of concept for the sustaining endurance of Gulf Western Oil. The tale ends as all hero’s journeys should, with the Lone Rider driving off into the sunset.
Australian motorists are subject to some of the harshest driving conditions in the world. Insane heat. Freezing nights. And dust everywhere you look. It’s brutal on vehicles, especially engines. Which is why they need a motor oil that can withstand everything that the Australian outback throws their way. Gulf Western Oil, Australia’s largest manufacturer of lubricants, has built a reputation as the makers of the only engine oil tough enough to withstand the harsh Australian conditions. This film aimed to capture this unique position, and endear itself deeper into the hearts of Australian drivers.
