In this video, we meet a digital artist who takes real-life stories of mental health and turns them into something beautiful. We touched on relatable struggles in our society: perfectionism, working from home, finding new balance, and themes that have arisen since the pandemic started in 2020. We go into his inner world metaphorically in the film, explore the challenges he has worked through, and reveal how his process channels this into something unique. Finally, we make the case that the inner world is not without its challenges. But through creativity, these challenges can be turned into something magnificent. We see where the future starts by meeting them at a key moment in their career as they look forward to create new and exciting work in 2021. With AMD as the technology enabler throughout this journey.
The basis of the campaign was born out of a very simple insight. The world had gone from outward EXPLORING THE WORLD prior to the pandemic in 2020 to inward EXPLORING THE SELF. 1 IN 3 of VICE audience are spending their time in COVID to explore their passions and hobbies.(VICE COVID study 2020) Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). AMD + VICE, gave life to - Inner Worlds. A campaign about possibility, creation & self-discovery, while positioning AMD as an aspirational, lifestyle brand that consumers can rely on to power their next - ambitions, passions, careers and really anything that their future holds for them.
