In the film we see the background and development of ‘One House to Save Many’. It begins by setting up the increasing problem of extreme weather in Australia and demonstrates that the only way to solve it is by building a better home. We are then introduced to the experts from Suncorp, The CSIRO, James Cook University and Room 11 Architects who take us through the design and testing process. Along the way we learn about all the home’s resilience features and how they protect against flood, bushfire, and cyclone. And we hear from real Australians who have been through those perils. We then reveal the One House to the families and get their reactions. We close by talking about the potential legacy of the project.
‘Building futures and protecting what matters’ is Suncorp’s brand purpose. And the tagline, ‘That’s the Suncorp Spirit’, speaks to 100 years of protecting Australians. So this campaign comes from the core of Suncorp’s values. Building a more resilient Australia is the Suncorp Spirit. And ‘One House’ is a natural manifestation of who they are.
