The COVID – 19 situation is a big crisis for everyone, especially for these small and medium business enterprises. Nearly 86.22% corporate accounts cannot support for more than three months. 20.43% of enterprises are severely affected and will suffer huge losses. The average lifespan of Chinese small and medium businesses is only 3 years. This is a very turbulent and unstable period. Among all the negative data, there are some interesting changes that inspired us. According to the big data report from HUOLALA (a O2O relocation APP in China), in tier 1 and tier 2 cities the most frequent relocation orders come from CBD districts and HIGH-TECH districts. (Like Beijing HOUCHANGCUN – known as Beijing Silicon Valley). The key word RELOCATION in Baidu Index reached its peak in July 2020 - doubled compared to the index in November 2019.

Due to COVID-19, 86.46% of Chinese enterprises claimed that they were severely affected by its adverse impacts, while 67.69% of them suffered from the unexpected income decrease. However, it didn’t stop the entrepreneurs from starting new businesses. A remarkable number of 27.35 million SMBs are newly registered in 2020 along in China. HP believes this is the opportunity for us to reinforce our unique positioning as a technology brand that not only pursues functionality but also centers humanity and sentiments. So we decide to create a campaign that engages with Chinese entrepreneurs by showing support and cheering for their entrepreneur spirit. We want to tell a story that would give them the courage and let them know that HP is a loyal companion to keep moving forward until they see the silver lining.
