Write a short summary of what happens in the film

The subject of the previous work Condom Battler Goro, released in 2020, was “condom battles”, where awareness of condoms and their correct usage is used in battle. The new work depicts that world five years and six months later, using the latest in modern animation technology. Part 1 shows the protagonist Goro’s conflict when he suddenly stopped using condoms after the heroic battle shown in the previous work. Moreover, while Goro sinks into darkness, Part 2 depicts the struggles of the heroine Miku, who frets and fails to ask Goro to use a condom. This work shows all of this in digest format.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

In Japan, where there is still a tendency to regard the topic of sex as taboo, sex education is often inadequate. Therefore, as people may not see or share information given through usual methods, we have taken a chance by using animation, story and characters to convey our message, and successfully promoted the correct attitude towards condoms.

Explain how the work innovatively used the film medium.

By deliberately making the previous work in a cheap 1990s Japanimation style, and making the sequel to this work with the latest modern animation technology, has been a boom in Japan this recent years. In the context of "revival production," it is not a simple sequel, but a self-revival structure. As a result, it has become a form of an easy way to make a series development of an advertising content.
