Aiming to lift the pandemic-weary spirits, bodies and minds through the power of dynamic movement and restful sleep, we created an inspirational film that embraces Westin's Let's Rise tagline and commitment to well-being. Drawing inspiration from the dawn of each new day, the film features a series of "Risers" in different locations gearing up and winding down, stretching their bodies and lifting their spirits, uniting a community of Risers around a shared mindset that transcends geography. The mindset that separates a Riser from the rest of the active crowd is their desire to not only move, but also to be moved. It’s that duality that gives Westin a critical role in the experience. They are beautiful, inspiring spaces that move you emotionally, too. And so we set out to create a campaign that spoke to the physical and the emotional idea of movement.
The past couple years have left many "risers" – especially in Asia Pacific – feeling disconnected, exhausted and burnt out. We wanted to let them know they’re not alone, and inspire them to rise above it all, regain control of their lives, and be the best they can be through the power of travel. Furthermore, it was important for this campaign to represent all the countries Westin is present in throughout APAC. While this was only shot in China, we chose various locations with diverse terrain and cast diverse talent to be representative of areas all across APAC. We also featured halo properties from Westin in the scenes, notably a brand new hotel in Nanjing that had not opened yet and one in Sanya, Hainan.
