This is a making-of video for the second Brand Campaign "The Reason I'm Here," which commemorates the 50th anniversary of McDonald's in Japan and is based on the memories of McDonald's for many families. Using the realistically recreated cityscape of 1970s as the major set piece of the film, it was made to look like an infomercial set in the 70s, and reported on the commercial shoot set.
The Family is an important target audience for McDonald's.The McDonald's Brand Campaign sought to tell the stories of the memories drawn from interviews with real users. The commercial commemorated the McDonald's 50th anniversary in Japan, and the first store in Ginza was realistically recreated using practical set pieces rather than using VFX. The making-of video payed homage to the 70's style infomercial during the time.
