The structure of the world is changing. To describe this, we used a famous quote of Willam Gibson, a science fiction writer, “The future is already here- it’s just not evenly distributed.” Technology not only changes the virtual world, but even the structure of sceneries that are familiar to us. Although they look the same from the outside, they are constantly changing, and that cannot be stopped. The main character of this movie can actually see the changes happening. But nothing surprises her and she takes the matter philosophically. We tried to visualize “The Real World” at this moment.
The film was produced for an opening of an event held by ABEJA Inc. The guests were mainly engineers, and people involved in business development. Although AI is generally seen in the middle of a fad, in the technology field, it is considered that AI has already entered into a disillusionment period considered as a “Hype Cycle (a chart to show the trend in technology)”, and a skeptical view is spreading. For this reason, we tried not to emphasize magical flashy aspects of AI but to accurately portray “Why AI exists?”
