Our travel-based reality show that features Taiwan’s top 10 YouTubers was a three-day Travel Battle in which they had to compete as teams, using Google Mobile Services, to solve the challenges they’ve been dealt. As they travel, the YouTubers will demonstrate Google Mobile Services functions as they have their phones on hand at any time.
On the island that is Taiwan, people don’t only think of traveling throughout Taiwan as a casual adventure, but a bond to the land. High school students nowadays make a round trip throughout the island as a rite of passage. But the three counties and cities in eastern Taiwan has fewer resources and long been considered as remote rural areas. As a global brand, Google hopes that this campaign can resonate with the local culture, which is why we’ve taken the brand and placed it in remote rural areas: to show that Google cares about Taiwan. At the same time, demonstrating the use of technology will bring in new perspectives for people in remote rural areas.
We invited Taiwan’s top ten YouTubers to participate in a travel-based reality show that visits three locations in eastern Taiwan. Throughout the Travel Battle, Google Mobile Services is integrated into the program to exemplify to consumers the best time and way to use such services.
