Write a short summary of what happens in the film

What is the first gift you gave to your child? Was it a teddy bear? A silver spoon? The very first gift you gave your child must have been a name. From the day your child was born until today, you must have given birthday presents, Christmas presents and countless others presents. And of course, countless memories as well. But one day, in the future, there will come a day, of parting. For your treasured children, what is the last gift will you give?

Cultural/Context information for the jury

By the year 2030, Japan will be a super-aging society with 1/3 of its population becoming over 65 years old. However, situation still is that preparation to hand down their assets, approximated to be 1,500 trillion yen, to the next generation (in the form of inheritance or donation) is making little progress. This movie was created for Japan’s No.1 securities firm to be shown at their seminars held at 156 branch offices nationwide to acquaint their customers on this topic. The Japanese way of naming a child is conducted with parents using the resource of several thousands of Japanese kanji characters. They read into the meanings of the kanjis and the ways they can be pronounced. Appreciation for the birth of the child, the prayers and dearly hopes for the well growth of the child are embraced in every name.
