In this film we meet Dave, who’s admiring his freshly inked tattoo as its being finished. When he proudly walks out of the tattoo shop, he sees that the UBET store next door is changing their name to TAB. As he exchanges awkward glances with the confused tradies changing the store’s signage, we see the realisation slowly wash over him – revealing that his new tattoo is of the old UBET logo. Making him the only person in Australia who might consider the name change to be a big deal.
UBET was a regional betting agency in Queensland, aimed at a younger market of punters. But after merging with the largest national betting agency in Australia, they were set to change their name to TAB. They needed a piece of work to ensure loyal customers that the name change would be easy and seamless. And that everything they loved about the service would remain as they knew it. We created a film that captured the passion of UBET’s fans and used playful and irreverent humour to announce the name change in a memorable way.
