Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Sumire imagines what NIFREL might be and, in the process, becomes lost in the world of her own imagination. There she finds a strange place populated by unique creatures and wondrous objects. Is it a dream? Is it real? What is NIFREL? The answer Sumire uncovers is strange indeed.

Cultural/Context information for the jury

NIFREL is Japan’s only facility which is a combination of an aquarium, a zoo, and an art museum that allows visitors to view living creatures as a form of art. NIFREL is taken from the Japanese word "ni fureru" which means to touch. The name represents the facility’s goal of allowing visitors to meet, touch, and interact with animals.

In order to convey the fact that NIFREL is a new type of facility combining an aquarium, a zoo, and an art museum, our goal was to create a commercial which instantaneously conveyed the uniqueness and originality of the idea. ・Coordinated backgrounds, art design, and outfits were created. ・All of the CG elements were based on tracings of the movements and shapes of actual animals visitors can see at NIFREL. ・The wardrobe and makeup were designed to be representative of animals, expressing the idea that going to NIFREL has a transformative effect. ・We added a sense of reality to the imaginary world by using real animal sounds in parts of the soundtrack.
