Write a short summary of what happens in the film

We used "smoke" as the main medium. The surge, spreading and expansion of the smoke were used to interpret the interconnections and penetration between fashion, art and life. It is better to present the flow of “smoke” and the motion of people via dynamic film rather than static picture. The background music enriches the sensory experience of viewers by showing the changes of emotions and inner world. The film and music together make the theme of this fashion week more vivid and intuitive.

Cultural/Context information for the jury

With the theme of “Zero Distance Between Art and Fashion,” Shenzhen Fashion Week built a platform for the public to see the connections among fashion,art,life. We used experimental film to visualize the brand slogan “forge ahead” through three keywords, namely, lost, awaken and burst.

Tell the jury about the elements of sound design.

We have invited light graffiti artists and independent musicians to join the creation. Three keywords, lost, awaken and burst, were used to interpret the concept of “Smoky Time” via the medium of smoke. Cinematography camera was used to shoot the interactions between people and the medium at higher than normal frame rate. The status of smoke surge, spreading and expansion that captured by the camera and a color combo of green, blue and red were used to convey the commonality of human emotions. In terms of background music, the philosophical thoughts were transformed into a musical language to create three atmospheres and emotions base on different logics, which perfectly melted the music into the picture.
