Put Glasses, Put a Smile. A lot of people in Thailand face eyesight problems. They are waiting for kind donors to donate eyeglasses to them. Metthapracharak Hospital usually placed donation boxes of eyeglasses in many places but only 100 glasses received on average in one month. Maybe the method is not interesting enough to attract people’s attention… So, we have a new idea for the Hospital. We started the project by spreading ‘put Glasses, Put A Smile’ brochures to the public – a soft reminder for preparing their unused glasses to the donation day. United Center Building willingly provided a space for the interactive board installation without any charge. Whenever a donor put a pair of eyeglasses to any person image on the board, it returns a smile to the donor. And this put a smile on the donor’s face as well. On that day we brought up so many smiles than we had expected. 1,029 glasses 1,029 smiles in 1 day. These donated eyeglass frames will be back in use with new lens that suit to their individual eyesight problems.
