Results and Effectiveness

On that day we brought up so many smiles than we had expected – to be precise: 1,029 glasses 1,029 smiles in one day. These donated eyeglass frames will be back in use with new lens that will be arranged to suit to their individual eyesight problems by the hospital.

Creative Execution

We started the project by spreading brochures to the public – a soft reminder for preparing their unused glasses to the donation day. United Center, the Building in the heart of Bangkok willingly provided a space for the interactive board installation without any charge.

Insights, Strategy and the Idea

Insights : A lot of poor people in Thailand face eyesight problems. They are waiting for kind donors to donate eyeglasses to them. Metthapracharak Hospital, whose eyeglass donation project, usually placed donation boxes of eyeglasses in many places but maybe the method is not interesting enough to attract people’s attention. The hospital received only an average of 100 glasses in one month. So,we have to create a new idea for the hospital Idea : "Put Glasses, Put A Smile" A new way of donation campaign that brings up the connection between donor and receiver. We created an interactive donation board. Whenever a donor put a pair of eyeglasses to any person image on the board, it returns a smile to the donor. And this put a smile on the donor’s face as well.
