Many people know plastic bags aren’t good for the environment. Not too many know that plastic bags clog drains and make flooding even worse. Since 2000, typhoon and flood damage has cost the Philippines more than $3 billion and taken 13,000 lives. The campaign aims to create awareness on the dangers of irresponsible plastic bag disposal, presenting the SM Eco Bag as the reusable, sustainable solution.
Improve SM’s association as an environmentally-conscious establishment.
We asked people to donate plastic bags and we reused these to show the destruction they help cause. The works we made capture real situations of people of all ages who have been victims of flooding.
