As a brand focused on quality bedding products, Casablanca’s mission is to provide quality sleep, wherever and whenever it happens. We needed to make the brand stand out and relevant to customers in the digital space, but with a limited budget that ruled out traditional media buys.
The medium is central to the idea, and a perfect match for Casablanca – to demonstrate a bedding brand when the computer is sleeping. Your computer, like your bedroom, is your own personal space, your dreams are drawn from your facebook feed, and with face-mapping technology, you can see yourself sleeping blissfully. Everything comes together to turn your computer’s generic sleep mode into a highly targeted and personalized sleeping product demonstration.
We created a direct channel that was free and completely relevant to the brand. We transformed your computer’s sleep mode, turning sleeping screens everywhere into Casablanca showrooms. Through social media, we invited people to try our products online. They would take a portrait picture which, through face-mapping technology, was used to personalize their computer’s sleep mode. When their computer entered sleep mode, they would see themselves sleeping perfectly on Casablanca products. The interactive sleep mode was web-enabled, filling their dreams with content from their Facebook feed, and pushing promotions in real-time. Promotion offers also show up on their Facebook wall.
