Results and Effectiveness

The novelty of the coasters resonated favourably with beer drinkers and became a topic of conversation in bars. The Catapult Coaster reinforced the Baron's brand in the mind of drinkers and reminded them of the all-conquering days of kings and knights.Those who were not familiar with the brand were motivated to give Baron's a try, which is a strong indication of the effectiveness of the idea.

Creative Execution

Since pub-going is a social experience with friends, we decided to use something that is ever-present in bars as a medium - a coaster. However, this was no ordinary coaster. It could be transformed into a catapult, a symbol of medieval might, giving drinkers a glimpse of Baron's old european heritage. And here's the best part, it could launch peanuts, adding even more fun to a good night out.

Insights, Strategy and the Idea

To increase the in-pub presence of Baron's Strong Brew, a beer with a European heritage. Beer drinkers were spoilt for choice with the number of brands to choose from. Therefore it was important communicate the qualities of Baron's Strong Brew in a fun and memorable way.
