Filipino teens spend more time in front of a computer than on the court. Our task was to inspire them to use Nike’s advantages in real games. The internet was our competitor. But we turned its strength into our advantage. We gave teens The Upper Hand: a digital platform containing videos that teach useful counters against tougher opponents. A mobile app brought the platform right at courtside. On Facebook, fans got to consult with a pro coach in real-time. In just 8 weeks, The Upper Hand got 320,325 visits, 9,858 mobile downloads, and 38,794 new Likes for Nike Philippines.
