To the average Singaporean, the Navy did nothing more than protect this tiny island nation's waters. To show Singaporeans that the Navy did more than that, we created Sea of Support, a digital platform that connected Singaporeans to real life naval personnel who were keeping sea trade free in the pirate-infested Gulf of Aden. Users could send in their messages of support and thanks to the naval personnel. By connecting Singaporeans with actual naval personnel, we not only instilled a sense of pride for the Navy, but also showed that the Navy was a force for good beyond our horizons.
