With the introduction of electronic organs, the Harmonium, a traditional Indian reed instrument witnessed drastic dip in sales. Mohan Music Palace, a 70 year-old shop in New Delhi, India wanted to resurrect the love for Harmoniums among the urban Indian youth. Armed with an offbeat, inventive idea, we created a first-of-its-kind online simulation of this instrument on a laptop. On the website, users can actually ‘play’ their laptop like they would play the Harmonium creating a unique, engaging experience. Mohan Music Palace received over 5 times the usual quote requests with almost a third of them converting into actual sales.
