The Brief Lub d hostel, originally positioned as ‘The friendliest hostel where everyone leaves as a friend’ launches a new tour & travel section in hostel’s lobby to serve their guests, mostly backpackers, under the name “Hey U Go Where?” The brief is to design tour @ travel booth The problems • From the target’s behavior, most backpackers tend to travel by themselves and ignore tour & travel service counter. The Idea An elephant is one of Thailand’s icons - the most popular animal which travelers love to take photos with. We create the travel booth just showing elephant’s bottom, where a staff can sit inside as a desk for working and just show their faces through the hole to get attention from backpackers. Sometimes a staff say “Hey you go where?”, and then he/she can give packages to clients right after giving information. The Results • Higher traffic to the booth : Backpackers who tend to travel by themselves, turn in and look for services. • Huge exposure through social networking sites : Many guests love to ask for taking a photo and smiles are put on all faces when taking photos at our booth! Tremendous amount of Like and Share clicks reveal great online exposure.
