We created a campaign called “Self-Portraits” that encourages people to capture their true depiction of themselves in the world of the camera. Instead of the traditional leaflet, we created an interesting DM kit to send out the campaign message and also tell the product features. This activity will increase awareness of Ricoh camera and improve sales in stores greatly. In a few weeks, 10000 sets of DM model were taken. The store monthly sales increased by 80%. Microblogging activities continue to increase. Consumers uploaded DIY model’s pictures on Weibo and was passed on up to more than 30 million times.
