“If you were a Facebook ad, could you get women to like you?” Challenge: Get Filipino men to declare they use Clear Anti-Dandruff shampoo. Insight: Men don’t like to be associated with dandruff. But they do like competition. Creative solution: We pitted men against each other in very public, very small arena: The Facebook ad. Using 135 characters and 110x80 pixels, Filipinos wrote Facebook ads for themselves stating their Clear advantage. Those who attracted the most Likes would win. Results: These ads earned the brand 83,472 new Likes in two months, increasing fan base by 234%, outperforming celebrity ads.
