We rode paper on 150 pieces of 100 yen coins which were incused cherry blossoms on faceside and rubbed it and expressed cherry blossoms in full bloom.
In Japan, Cherry blossoms are a symbol of spring. Japan Weather Association forecasts the day when cherry trees bloom every spring. Most Japanese check the forecast news and look forward to cherry trees in full bloom. However, Tohoku regions have no cherry tree from March 2011.The tsunami swept away a large numbers of them. Therefore it was intended to make a poster as donation to plant a cherry tree for the disaster areas.
Most Japanese knows that the 100 yen coin has cherry blossoms in the face side. Based on this fact, we developed the concept: giving a small donation can make cherry trees in full bloom and created a visual for the donation.
We were able to in this way collect 4,500 pieces of 100 yen coins (About 4500 US$). Thereby, we planted the young plant of the cherry tree in the disaster areas.
