Brief Explanation

It’s the story of a typical of the semi-urban student of Bangladesh who, after high school, wants to be admitted to a good university in the capital, but is misled by admission related advice and information from nearly anyone and everyone. The TVC starts with the student getting into a local barber shop to “smarten up” before going to the city. The barber is the typical self-appointed ‘guardian of all youngsters’ of the small town. The barber enquires as to the reason behind this dressing up. Hearing the boy’s intentions to go to the capital, the barber suddenly asks the boy to stand up and starts measuring him with a tape. Then the barber exclaims that the admission requirements at the capital this year was a height of at least 5 feet 7 inches which the boy doesn’t measure up to. The ‘guardian’ even scolds the boy when he tries to question the credibility of the barber’s information. It is then that the new product ‘Studyline’ (a telecom service for admission related information) is announced through a VO. We see the student, still standing at the shop, enquiring at the Studyline for the right info.
