SPCA Singapore needed to boost adoption rates and fast. But how do we show Singaporeans the joy of pet ownership when they’d rather be in the mall instead of the park? We set up an interactive installation at the entrance of Iluma Mall (one of Singapore’s newest malls). Users were invited to play ‘fetch’ with the virtual dog by throwing in any direction. Motion detection technology sensed which direction users were throwing, and the dog fetched the ball in the corresponding direction. People were intrigued by the installation, and SPCA enjoyed an increase in enquiries on pet adoption.
