A series of gigantic ice blocks were carved to reflect the previous day's closing numbers for major stock indices from around the world ( Dow Jones, Nikkei 225, Straits Times, Hang Seng, Sensex and FTSE 100). These sculptures, situated in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District, were carved 'live' and launched thorughout the day in sync with the respective market's opening times. Through the temporal nature of ice, we were able to tangibly demonstrate information deteriorating, and communicate that information is freshest and purest at the source.
