Results and Effectiveness

・PhoneBook’s demo movie has been played more than 200,000 times on the Internet. ・Over 100,000 people visited the PhoneBook WEB site since its opened. ・Over 3000 tweet about PhoneBook can be seen on Twitter. ・Got 7th place in total BOOK sales ranking in "Amazon. co. jp". The keyword of PhoneBook is “Analog on the Digital Technology”. PhoneBook is expandable to other print media such as leaflets, catalogues, or CD jackets.

Creative Execution

We consider the value of print media again which are: 1) the enjoyment of turning over the pages and 2) the feeling of paper texture which digital devices do not have. We were combined a traditional print media "Picture Book" and a latest degital device "iPhone" together. We named it as "Phone Book".

Insights, Strategy and the Idea

Because of the rising of digital devices such as iPhone, Kindle and iPad, Japanese publishing company "KODANSHA" was feeling sense of crisis about print media, especially about books. Our object is to produce some kind of new style books which is combined the print media and a digital devices.
