Brief Explanation

With tight timelines & tight budgets, we were starting to sound like our clients! Throw in the regional religious sensitivities, we had to communicate the Happy Holidays message sans the cheese but rather with simple Asian style mixed with European class. It had to be heartfelt and entertaining and not clog servers.

The Brief

It was that time of year again: burnt out creatives, manic clients and the need to send out obligatory don’t-mention-the-word-“Christmas” cards. Rather than further clog the snail mail, Band decided to save trees, get digital and giftwrap our creative prowess in an entertaining e-CARD. It needed to thank clients as well as make them feel chuffed they were using the best agency in the world.

How the final design was conceived

To bridge all language, cultural and religious differences, Band created a beautiful visual representation of the season’s sentiment. The collage style animation adds a homemade feel and the musical score evokes a heartwarming experience. The online animation was hosted on the agency website and the link sent to our database via email

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

Through the e-greeting, we grew the agency's digital portfolio by securing more interactive projects with several international clients. There were also numerous requests for it to be produced as a storybook and printed cards.
