The challenge was to create a logo that explained the the idea of Youngcreative.org being the platform for young creative individuals to come together.
To create a logo unit for Youngcreative.org, an organisation that brings young creative people together to exchange ideas with other young creatives, showcase their work, collaborate with other creatives and connect with creative professionals.
The design idea was to create a logo that had a sense of collective effort in it. We asked people from all walks of life, picked out at random to come and make handprints with paint on a canvas. These handprints were painstakingly made to look like an alphabet by carefully taking off the unneeded bits from every handprint. Thus was born the Hand Print Typeface that helped create an unique, organic, unusual and cool-looking logo.
The logo helped create an identity for youngcreative.org instantly where there was none. YCO became known amongst colleges and amongst youngsters. In just 3 months, 600 members registered to become a part of Youngcreative.org.
