Mumbai Mirrored: Establishing Mumbai Mirror as the one true mirror of Mumbai’s journey Mumbai Mirror, the most read tabloid of Mumbai, was losing youth readership. Born out of seven islands and the sea, the megacity was struggling with a fading historical narrative of Bombay. Until now. To connect with the young, Mumbai Mirror set to capture the journey of the city. A unique print-linked video series, Mumbai Mirrored, was created telling the story of the transformation from Bombay to Mumbai. The series highlighted the tales of 5 pivotal figures who influenced Mumbai’s landscape, socio-polity, and culture. 7 front cover-pages of the same edition featured 7 iconic structures symbolizing 7 islands of the city in reverse, along with a reversed masthead, which was readable only against a mirror. The reflections of the key landmarks beautifully mirrored the City of Dreams, setting a high social media buzz.
