Please tell us how the brand purpose inspired the work

The Royal Australian Mint’s purpose is to serve the coinage needs of the Australian economy and is solely and officially responsible for the production of Australia’s legal tender coinage. As part of their charter of operation, they are also responsible for finding unique and innovative ways of keeping coinage relevant in society. As technological advancements have seen many transactions move towards digital, The Royal Australian Mint saw an opportunity to reimagine the power of coins to help charities, and the most disadvantaged among us – who rely on the donation of physical coins. Launched on International Day of Charity 2020, supported by an extensive OOH campaign and with one coin minted for every single Australian, creating over 25 million individual outdoor billboards in the hands of every Australian – the coin itself being a new form of outdoor communication.
