Publishing in WEEKLY MORNING magazine meant that AI is now publicly categorized as a Manga artist. When the project team first asked the editorial desk to publish, they had a negative response. They did not qualify AI as a Manga artist because the project was a collaborative work between AI machines and humans. After numerous discussions, the team prepared a 4-page special feature (Attachment 2) for the opening page of the magazine to clarify what AI can do and what only humans can do, disclosing the whole process of this project. As a result, it emphasized the gravitas of this project as well as the greatness and profound creativity of Osamu Tezuka who worked on stories, characters, lines, layout and drawing all by his own.
