Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare, deadly, heart disease that's challenging for cardiologists and respiratory specialists to identify and is more likely to be missed than diagnosed correctly. PAH patients are typically concealed by their vague symptoms, constantly out of breath and getting worse every day. It’s as if they’re slowly drowning, hidden from view, and can only be rescued if doctors know how to find them – insights which led to our depiction of the problem and the way to discover patients before it's too late. 'Look Deeper' is a fully integrated campaign designed to encourage doctors to suspect PAH in their breathless patients and visit suspectph.com.au to learn more. At the centre of the campaign is a 3D illustration which symbolises the chronic, oppressive effects of PAH, with a spot-lit cave in the background revealing the key to discovering its subtle signs: performing a simple echocardiogram.
