The film tells the story of a young boy using his ingenuity to bring prosperity and longevity to his family. It ends with carefully illustrated narratives explaining popular Lunar New Year traditions.
One of the best ways to form solidarity with a local community is to demonstrate understanding of Chinese customs. One of these customs has younger family members staying up late on the new year’s eve to prolong the life of elder folks. The longer you stay up, the longer your elders live. Naturally, when you’re short on sleep, it’s important to stay hydrated. In light of the unique tradition, Coway took the opportunity to be present during this meaningful moment. The story is told through a child’s perception of this tradition. We follow his journey of using quirky, innovative methods to keep himself awake for the sake of his grandmother. His ‘tiny’ good deed in the name of love.
