Write a short summary of what happens in the film.

Set in the year 2031, a once united nation is divided by a great wall, towering over every state border. It’s a tongue-in-cheek take on what could be if state borders are shut for good, but this un-Australian division can’t last forever. In the film, viewers see the great unification of Australia sparked by the scent of lamb through cracks in the wall. This beacon of hope triggers Aussies around the country to tear down the Great State Walls and reunite over a delicious lamb BBQ

Cultural / Context information for the jury

Building on the ‘Share the Lamb’ brand platform, the campaign reflects upon 2020 as a pivotal time in our history where, for the first time, Australia was physically divided due to the pandemic.

Tell the jury about the creation of the original music track.

This score was composed in 3 specific sections and is obviously very eclectic. The first is a dreamy almost retro 60s psych folk/rock style, although it’s ironically depicting an almost ‘Pleasantville’ setting in a future decade. The second is orchestral (almost 'spaghetti western flavour’ ) and needed to capture the mystery at the wall and subsequently the piece of Lamb’s appearance with an 'over the top' soprano voice, singing as if it is the mellifluous voice incarnate of the actual piece of 'deliciousness' emerging. The last and final part is a homage to mid 80s and early 90s Aussie Pub rock, eg. big harmonica, big drums, big guitars and chanted “Ois”!
