Write a short summary of what happens in the film.

A man rides an elevator on a journey through time from the past to the future. He first travels through a period of rapid growth, followed by an economic bubble. But this success comes at a price: people’s lives get busier and busier, and disease becomes widespread. Was the way society did things until now really the right approach? The man asks himself this question as the elevator continues to go up. He resolves to change to another approach. The elevator reaches the top. All around, the man sees a green and beautiful world. Business that supports sustainable growth has created a better future for everyone.

Tell the jury about the visual effects and summarise any relevant challenges or techniques.

The visual effects are noteworthy for two reasons. The first is the use of volumetric video. The film was shot with 150 4K cameras. Technology for processing large volumes of video data in real time and at high speeds made it possible to recreate the video live in a 3D space with a mere three-second lag, and control camera angles across a 360-degree panorama. Immediately after filming, the best shots were selected while considering the camera path in free viewpoint video. The second is the use of rear projection. 3D computer graphics were projected onto a massive LED screen to merge the background with the live action shot in front. The LED panels used for the screen were high-performance monitors with a 1.5 mm pixel pitch. Employing 289 of these panels, the 6,528 × 3,672-pixel screen measured 10,370 mm by 5,831 mm (468 inches), and weighed 2,500 kg (2.8 tons).
