Write a short summary of what happens in the film

In response to prevalent racism because of COVID-19’s origins, Asian frontliners stand in solidarity against the discrimination their community is facing. Filmed in black and white, they recount how they brave the fight against COVID-19 day after day to care for its victims. They remind the public that rather than carriers of the deadly virus, they play a vital role in the fight against the pandemic. The film ends with a plea for unity and to put an end to the discrimination.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

“It’s the China virus, not the coronavirus.” - Donald Trump Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, another social crisis has spread: rampant anti-Asian racism. Due to the virus’ origins in China, people of Asian descent have been the target of verbal and physical attacks. Misconception, misinformation, and ignorance has fueled violent racism towards them. It has become noticeably more prevalent in the US where a surge of hate crimes against Asians have gone viral and made the headlines. The Asian community needed to stand strong, fight the prejudice, and stop the violence.
