During the lockdown the world witnessed an interesting phenomenon. Animals were roaming the streets while humans were locked behind doors. We launched a film that captures this turn of events. We showed footages of animals roaming freely on the streets during the lockdown and interspersed them with visuals of people stuck in their houses. A film that reminded people that the place we call our home, is theirs too.
Azaadi, a Hindi word that means freedom, was used as part of the idea. It was a one-word chant used by university students at protest marches across India, as part of a political movement. This rhythmic chant that became the heartbeat of a generation, and a symbol of freedom was remixed for the film.
