Red Bull Music Academy is a global music platform for young, talented next generation artists from around the globe. For Red Bull Music Academy Tokyo 2014, we executed a campaign using wooden “election-style” billboards, which commonly appear during elections in Japan. The election-style billboards exerted strong presence in Tokyo, differentiated to the other adverts with commercial messages. Red Bull Music Academy posters were framed with 6 musicians’ portraits and their sincere “quotes” for music. These left a strong impact on the Japanese public, who are normally used to advertisements filled with information.
