What initially appears to be the latest episode of the well known Japanese cooking show “Three Minute Cooking”, is actually the newest episode from Japan’s largest wireless carrier, NTT to introduce their high speed network LTE. “3-Second Cooking” features a crazy but clever contraption that can cook crispy fried shrimp from start to finish in just 3 seconds. The “Shrimp Frying Cannon”.
Open with a cheesy animation. As the curtain opens, a title “3-Second Cooking” appears before a kitchen. Voiceover: 3-Second Cooking. There is a female chef and her young assistant standing in the kitchen. Assistant: Today we are going to make fried shrimp. Chef: Here is how to cook fried shrimp in 3 seconds. Insert shot of ingredients on the table. Assistant: Ingredients are, 6 shrimps… As the assistant tries to name the ingredients one by one, the chef breaks in. Chef: Let’s move on to the next step! Put the goggles on. Perplexed looking assistant puts on her goggles. Chef: Beat the eggs in advance, and pour it in. The chef continues explaining as she pours in beaten egg to a container. Chef: Do not put too much flour in. She shows a transparent container filled with flour. Chef: Place the shrimp into the lanes carefully. Assistant with goggles is closely looking at the shrimps placed in the lanes. Chef: And just push the button! The chef presses the button. Now we can see the whole picture of the cooking device that is in the kitchen. Some explosions happen, but they are too fast that makes it hard to see what has happened. Surprised by its sounds, the assistant screams. However, the chef looks very relaxed. Replay of the actions in slow motion: The shrimps start off shooting through the lanes. They pass through a blast of flour, a shower of beaten egg, and a blast of crumbs. Finally the shrimps go through a flame and collides into the wall and drops on a plate. Now the chef and the assistant sitting side by side at the table that is filled with dishes. They are trying to taste what they just have made. The chef proudly says to the assistant who’s looking at the fried shrimp with troubled eyes. Chef: Tastes good, right? Instruction for Fried Shrimp pops up on the screen. Directions: Please use caution when cooking at home. Replay of the process. Super: Detonation velocity. Over a nicely decorated fried shrimps, super appears. Super: Blazing fast network, like crispy fried shrimps. FULL LTE. Super on the image of a fried dumpling. Tomorrow’s menu is 3-Seconds Cooking “Super Fried Dumpling”
