To celebrate its 60th anniversary in the New Zealand market, VW created this crowd sourced ad called The People's Film. The ad highlights the brand's local history from a factory in Auckland, in 1954. VW asked Kiwis to submit content of different models from the '50s to today. We reignited a latent love for the brand as we received over 18 hours of footage and hundreds of photos that we edited down into a 196-shots-in-60-seconds celebration. All thanks to The People’s Film, of the People’s Car, made by the people.
