Brief Explanation

To launch Hotels.com's 'The Obvious Choice' endline in Australia, we focused on the only people that don't use the world's most obviously superior booking site - travel rookies. The same people that make other silly travel faux pas; like Jeff, the father in this spot who accidentally took his family to a nudist beach in Spain.

Creative Execution

SCRIPT: CLIENT: Hotels.com TITLE: Beach LENGTH: 15 seconds The spot opens on a secluded Spanish beach, where a family has just arrived. From their pale complexions and inappropriate beachwear, they're obviously travel rookies. Rather than enjoying the spectacular view, they're looking at something else. The camera pulls back in beautiful slow motion, as our horrified dad runs towards his traumatised son. We hear a voice. VO: 'Private beach' means something different in Spain, Jeff. That's rookie error number two after not using Hotels.com. They take off 40% We keep pulling pack to reveal the hairy, tanned thigh of a nudist, standing right front of the boy. VO: Unlike this guy. Who's taken off 100% We cut to our endframe, where supers appear. Super: Hotels.com Global sale. Up to 40% off. The obvious choice.
