Fate seems to have a grudge against this quirky family as they submit to car-crushing hailstorms, and roof-rending windstorms. Luckily their mishaps are 100% covered by QBE Insurance.
Mighty Nice was approached to design and craft a set of stylised and own-able characters for QBE, and to flesh out a detailed miniature world for them to live in. After months of character design development, we developed detailed texturing and lighting techniques to simulate a tactile and physical quality to the characters and their environments. Additionally, we dynamically simulated over scaled water droplets to interact with the characters to enhance the miniaturised feel. In combination with a deliberately stepped animation style, we went on to create an endearingly crafted world for their stories to take place in.
