The camera is showing the queue. People are dressed badly, they wear old, worn clothes. The camera is showing our main character – granny, she is standing in the queue. The loader is squeezing through the queue. He is holding bottles. Loader: Give a way. The camera is showing the queue. Annoyed and tired people are starting to make noise. A woman: For an hour she waited for only one person! Girl: Mom! Mother (angrily): Don't get on my nerves! A man with indifferent face is biting an apple. Another man is putting a match in his mouth. Two guys who look like criminals (they are dressed in sportswear) are going through the crowd and are shoving people provocatively and deliberately. They are coming to the checkout. The first criminal is coming close to the top of the queue. First criminal: What do we got here? Got beer? Saleswoman (she is wiping her face with hand): Don't cut in line! What do you want? Young man (staying in the queue): Hey, don't cut in line. Second criminal: Stay put. Young man: What? First criminal: Let’s talk. Young man: Ок Second criminal is pulling him out from the queue and is starting to argue with him loudly. People in the queue are looking at this scandal. Guys are pushing each other. Second criminal is holding young man by the lapels and shouting something. Attention of the queue is chained to this conflict. The general confusion is ruled. Saleswoman: Hey, what are you doing? Men in a queue are trying to separate the fight. They are staying around second criminal and trying to calm him down. Our granny is standing near cash desk and the first criminal steals a wallet from her pocket. After that he is turning to the queue. Second criminal: Hush, hush. It’s ok, we’re leaving. Aza, let’s go. They are leaving the store. The woman in the queue: Let's hurry, we're two hours of stand! The young man who did the remark to criminals is adjusting his clothes and getting back in line – right next to the granny. Granny is trying to find the wallet in her bag, but the wallet is absent. People: Granny, hurry up! Saleswoman: Will you pay? Look, granny, you pay or you go away. A voices from the crowd: Stole? They stole the purse? What’s going on? The purse. They stole the purse. The young man is giving her money, doesn’t wait for her reaction and is leaving the store without any word. Granny is staying silently. This moment changes situation immediately. At first a silence falls. People can see themselves from the outside and every face we can see shows something human. The queue is solidifying. People who conflict with each other are hiding their eyes. Men who drink beer are hiding their eyes too. Saleswoman is cutting a sausage and is giving it to granny. Saleswoman: Take it, granny. Keep the money. My God, What are we doing, people? Like we’re not people at all. Grandma is crying. The saleswoman is passing by the bench where granny is sitting. Granny looks tired but she is feeding a dog. The saleswoman sits down next to granny silently, their eyes fixed on somewhere to the side… The end.
