The film for Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the ICC World Cup 2015, captures the power of the Cricket World Cup to elevate the status of cricket to a shared common language; a mother tongue that fades away our differences. It took 4 teams of directors and crew, 28 shoot days, and over 2000 kilometres of travel across the length and breadth of India to bring to life this power of the Cricket World Cup; from Guwahati and Cherrapunji in east to the planes of Kutch in the west and from the mountain lands of Ladhak and Rohtang Pass in the north to the costal belt around Coimbatore and Kochi in the south.
The music & lyrics that ties the whole piece together by capturing the energy of this mother tongue that unites India. It was brought to life with the vocals of Mura Lala, famed Kuchi folk singer. The music track for this was composed by the famous Indian music director Hanif. It's an original score.
