Brief Explanation

NicoNico Yasai wanted people not to throw away vegetables that are still safe for consumption just because the vegetables do not look as fresh or as green from the first day they bought them.

The Brief

NicoNico Yasai is an organic vegetables brand based in Vietnam. It was founded by Minoru Shiokawa, a Japanese who fell in love with Vietnam. NicoNico Yasai practices a Farm to Table concept. The quality of vegetables that are produced at the farm and delivered to the kitchen table is always consistent. The process and information regarding who, when and where are openly shared for consumers to track. NicoNico Yasai's main aim is to educate Vietnamese people on healthy eating.

How the final design was conceived

We checked and confirmed with nutritional experts on the best cooking suggestions based on the leaf color of the vegetable.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

NicoNico Yasai wanted to do more than just sell vegetables. The brand wanted to educate people about saving money on food by ensuring no unnecessary wastage. NicoNico Yasai hopes the Cooking Freshness Guide can bring more value to its existing and new customer base.
