Brief Explanation

The brief from the client was to highlight the high quality, consistency and excellent finish of Dulux Paints. In a world where there's often discrepancy between what appears in brochures, swatches and in how it finally looks like on the walls, Dulux wanted to come out strong about their promise of matching expectation and reality. To tell the consumer that what he sees is what he gets.

The Brief

Dulux Paints is a manufacturer of high-quality, innovative and unique range of paints. Through stringent and hi-tech manufacturing processes they maintain absolute consistency of the color of their paints.

Results

The simple, yet powerful design demonstrated Dulux Paints' ability of matching expectation and reality in the paint world. It further reinforced the promise of the brand of upholding high quality standards and consistency of its range of paints. And made the manufacturer look like a genuine player who gives the consumers exactly what they see.

How the final design was conceived

To bring together the worlds of expectation and reality, we decided to create a seamless union between the two enduring symbols of the paint world; the swatch and the paint brush. These two represent what the consumer wants and what he finally gets, respectively. And by the way of a seemingly simple design, we managed to amplify the brand promise of genuine, high quality paints that look the same wherever you see them.
