Most beach destinations in Asia are not known for their nightlife. But Boracay has developed a unique culture of fine dining, bars, beach clubs, and snack places to go with its world-famous white sand beach. Through a 360º time-lapse of the shoreline, our spot shows the range of fun activities visitors can enjoy from sunrise to sunrise.
Boracay has developed a unique culture of fine dining, bars, beach clubs, and snack places to go with its world-famous white sand beach. The script called for a real-time 24-hour exposure of the activities on the island. A 360º lens was used to show a time-lapse of the shoreline, where visitors are shown enjoying island activities from sunrise to sunrise. For continuity, the crew shot for 30 hours straight with a single camera. It was locked to the ground to keep it unaffected by waves and other elements. And an aperture of f/22 had to be constantly maintained, even at night. Blocking happened in shifts, with actors and activities changing every two hours for movement to register on camera.
